A different way to transplant Spider plants. Past experience with Spider Plants. Try it and see if it works for you. Fill a hanging basket with potting soil. Draw a line with your finger across the pot and make four sections. Plant four spider babys, that you have grown in a cylinder type container, in each section equally spaced from the side of the pot. In four months you will have a beautiful plant. Hang in indirect light. They do not like full sun. Spider plants will die below 32 degrees. Spider plants send off shoots that form babies when the plant is exposed to more darkness than light. Winter days have longer dark periods than light periods. If you have your plant in a room where there is a light turned on it will not go through the phase to send out shoots. Therfore no baby plants. I was asked this question about spider plants more than about any other type of plant.

Its Nick, Live from the Blanket Fort once again. This time around we venture outside where I show off my yard, and my plans for it. As I know my videos can go long, here are the basics: I show off my large collection of seeds, then give a tour around the outside. In particular I show the bushes and trees that will be removed to make way for gardens and the like. I show off the back yard, and my plans for four large rectangular gardens, which will be used for effective crop rotation. I also show the stream which is a few hundred feet away, which Ill be keeping in my thoughts for irrigation, as the garden planning is finalized. I go on to show the corner plot in the back which will house small fruit trees, and explain that I always offset crops and trees to maximize space used. I also show the outside of my shed, and the foundation of an old garage, which will eventually be the site of a hen house. I go on to explain my plans to use nut and berry bushes around the entire property, planting different kinds of bushes depending on the amount of sunlight the planting site receives. I finish off by showing a few odd sites left over which will have herbs or plants for making tea placed in them. Over most of the video I explain that my plans are to make every plant I grow be used for consumption of either a food, herb, or tea, or in other words nothing is ornamental, and everything is eaten. This should be an interesting year, as this will be my first time attempting something <b>…<b>
